Born to Maltese migrants, David Joseph Xiberras is an Adelaide-based photographer with a background in Flamenco and Classical dance. A grant from Arts SA allowed David to travel to Spain to further his Flamenco dance studies. He has danced in ‘Carmen’ with Opera SA and Opera QLD, as well as in local Flamenco productions.

This has culminated in David being engaged by high-profile Flamenco professionals in both Spain and Australia to photograph their performances, rehearsals and classes. His images have been exhibited, and used on social media pages, websites and promotional advertising to much acclaim.

Inspired by movement in the human and natural worlds and the fleeting of time, David’s photography aims to be precise and unique, and evokes a sense of history and story in each frame.
